Privacy Policy

Do Business Collective is run by Todd Frazier, CPA. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can turn off. We've written it to match what the site actually does rather than to cover every hypothetical.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist: your email address, plus where you arrived from, so we know which channels work.
If you create an account: your email address and anything you choose to add to your profile — display name, business name, a short bio.
If you take part in the community: the posts, replies, and chat messages you write, and the events you attend.
If you contact support:the ticket and the conversation that follows. Those threads are visible to you and to the Collective's admins.
If you subscribe:your payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — we keep only Stripe's customer reference, your plan, and its status.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get visited, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure whether our advertising works. Both load when you open the public parts of the site — there is no cookie banner. We think a real, persistent opt-out is more honest than a banner most people dismiss without reading.
Neither tool runs anywhere in the members-only area. The message board, the library, events, support, your account, and the admin console load no analytics or advertising scripts at all. What you read and write inside the community is not sent to Google or Meta.
We also record two things from our own servers rather than your browser: that an account was created, and that a subscription was paid, along with its amount. That is how we measure whether advertising leads to memberships. These respect your opt-out too — see below.
We do not sell your information, and we don't use these tools to identify you personally.
Your choices
You can turn both tools off, for this browser, at any time from Your Privacy Choices, linked in the footer of every public page and from your account screen. Your choice is saved on your device and applies until you clear your browser data.
Global Privacy Control:if your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we detect it and disable both tools automatically. You don't need to opt out separately.
If you opt out and then subscribe, the server-side records described above are skipped as well — the opt-out follows the transaction, not just the page.
We send transactional email: a waitlist confirmation, magic-link sign-in, event invitations, and replies to your support tickets. These are sent through Resend. We don't send marketing email to members without asking first.
Who else sees your data
The services that make the site work: Supabase (accounts, content, and support threads), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Plus Google and Meta for the analytics described above, unless you've opted out. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its content. Email support@dobusinesscollective.com and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR; we'll honour those requests the same way.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions go to support@dobusinesscollective.com.
